Professor Ian Meyers Ian Meyers commenced as Chief Dental Officer with Queensland Health in January 2009. Prior to this he was Professor in General Practice Dentistry at The University of Queensland Dental School. Ian continues to maintain a part time private general dental practice in Brisbane and an adjunct professorial position with the University of Queensland. He is a product consultant to a range of dental companies, is chairman of the ADA Inc. Dental Instruments, Materials and Equipment Committee and the 2010 President of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Dental Association.  He is Chairman of the Australian Dental Research Foundation Research Advisory Committee and on the Board of Directors for the Australian Dental Research Foundation Research. In addition he is a member of the editorial board of The Australian Dental Journal and several other international journals.

 

Dr Farid Khan has widely lectured on topics involving toothwear and is a dental practitioner based in Brisbane. Having completed extensive research projects and co-authored a textbook on toothwear, Farid’s main focus has been the clincal management of dental erosion, providing an in depth look into clinical perspectives relevant in day to day practice. 

Professor Bill Young is a World authority on toothwear. An entertaining presenter, Bill has given many presentations around the world.  Maintaining his specialist practice in Brisbane and as Director of Erosion Watch, Bill remains at the forefront of this field having written a number of books, including “Teeth on Edge” - click here for further details.
