Professor Ian Meyers commenced as Chief Dental Officer with Queensland Health in January 2009. Prior to this he was Professor in General Practice Dentistry at The University of Queensland Dental School. Ian continues to maintain a part time private general dental practice in Brisbane and an adjunct professorial position with the University of Queensland. He is a product consultant to a range of dental companies, is chairman of the ADA Inc. Dental Instruments, Materials and Equipment Committee and the 2010 President of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Dental Association. He is Chairman of the Australian Dental Research Foundation Research Advisory Committee and on the Board of Directors for the Australian Dental Research Foundation Research. In addition he is a member of the editorial board of The Australian Dental Journal and several other international journals.

Professor Laurence Walsh is the Head of the University of Queensland School of Dentistry. He has been involved with education and research in the fields of infection control for more than 20 years, and has contributed significantly to the development of current infection control protocols at state and national levels. He has chaired the ADA Inc Infection Control Committee since 2008, and has served as an infection control auditor and consultant in the private and public sectors. Professor Walsh has published and presented widely at national and international levels. |

Professor Saso Ivanovski is a registered specialist in periodontics. He obtained his PhD and his MDSc in Periodontology from the University of Queensland. In 2004, Saso spent one year as a clinical fellow at the Eastman Dental Institute in London. In 2006, Saso was appointed as the inaugural Professor of Periodontology at Griffith University. His research interests are the biology of periodontal regeneration and osseointegration. Saso maintains a part-time private practice in Brisbane restricted to Periodontics and implant surgery. |

Dr Glen Weston has been in specialist endodontic practice in Brisbane since 1998. He has held the position of visiting lecturer, external examiner and clinical supervisor at the University of Queensland School of Dentistry. Glen has been a keynote speaker at international dental conferences and he is actively involved in endodontic continuing education across Australia. He has been the President of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Society of Endodontology, as well as the Federal Secretary/Treasurer of the Australian Society of Endodontology. |

Dr Rod Marshall has served on the executive of the Australian Society of Periodontology, and as president of the ANZ division of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the International President of the Periodontal Research Group within the IADR and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists. In addition to university teaching and lecturing extensively across Australia and internationally, he has authored over 30 papers in the international literature. Now an adjunct Snr Lecturer at the University of Queensland, he maintains a full time specialist periodontal practice in Brisbane. |

Dr David Roberts, Prosthodontist, is the past President of the Queensland branch of the Australian Prosthodontic Society, current President of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Osseointegration Society and past President and Founding Member of the Bennett Movement Dental Study Club. David has been an examiner and lecturer at both undergraduate and postgraduate level at the University of Queensland Dental School and he has lectured extensively on Prosthodontics and Dental Implants throughout Australia. Since 2000, he has conducted a Specialist Prosthodontic practice in South Brisbane and Camp Hill.
